Conversational Series

Prerequisite for the Level 1 Class is knowledge of the 7 Basic Competencies.

We offer Zoom, or in-person classes at Habla Language Services 95128. We are fully vaccinated and during indoor classes, will have windows open and air filter running. Wearing masks is optional.

We offer semi-private lessons of 2-6 people, or private lessons. Classes are held in our classroom in the West San Jose/Campbell area.  If you have studied Spanish before in high school, college or with an app, but can’t speak; you will do very well in these classes. We will take what you know and show you how to gain speaking/listening skills. If you have no Spanish background, doing the homework and studying will be VERY important.

PLEASE NOTE: THESE CLASSES ARE EXTREMELY STREAM-LINED. WE MEET FOR ONE HOUR PER WEEK AND THERE IS AT LEAST ONE HOUR WORTH OF HOMEWORK. IF YOU DON’T DO THE HOMEWORK, YOU WILL FALL BEHIND AND MAY NOT PROGRESS THROUGH EACH LEVEL IN 10 WEEKS. ALSO PLEASE SEE OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS HERE.

Contact us for more information. These are 10-week classes. We have opened up in-person classes and are developing the schedule upon the request of students. We will continue to offer Zoom classes for those who prefer or are not local to San Jose, CA.

  • Level 1: Meets Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 p.m. New Level 1 starting week of June 17. Details still TBD.

Curriculum used was created by Habla Language Services for adult professionals who want to focus on conversation. We also provide you with online tools for practice and you will have access to our lending library to read books that were made just for language learners!

We will assess you over the phone to determine your level.  Our classes feature the basic elements listed below and are interactive with real-life dialogues. Additionally, we provide vocabulary relevant to your job or personal interests -whether it be to close a deal in Spanish or teach arts & crafts to Mexican students.

You will really notice improvement if you continue to come and practice. Classes are usually scheduled for 1 hour per week  for 10 weeks, but we can also work with your schedule if you have a specific need.

We also provide assistance to native Spanish speakers (also known as Heritage Speakers), who are preparing for written tests for professional purposes. Contact us for more information.

  2. Michael Garrett says:

Hello I am interested in becoming fluent in Spanish can you contact with course information and pricing?

  3. What is the cost for Spanish Conversation 1? And when is the May 8th class will end? Also, is there a chance that you will have a Saturday class? I prefer weekend so that there’s no traffic going to your class and no work.

Thanks for your time and looking forward for your response.

  4. For the Level 1 Conversational Series, we meet once a week for one hour per week. I don’t offer this on the weekends. I know traffic in the Bay Area is so horrible these days, but perhaps we can find a schedule that works for you. I don’t know where you would be commuting from. I have a class coming up on Tuesdays at 4:30-5:30 and on Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m. We meet for 10 weeks and there is about 1 hour worth of homework per week. The May 8th class would end July 24, assuming people would want the week of July 4th off and not take any other days off. Groups are small. There is a two-person minimum and there is usually not more than 4 people per group.
